I believe that effective written communication is essential to an impactful career. As a scientist, you are a professional writer. Writing is as important a tool in your toolbox. Written communication is especially critical for our success as scientists because we must write (e.g., dissertations) to receive academic degrees, share our discoveries (e.g., through manuscripts and abstracts for professional meetings), request funding (e.g., grants, contracts), engage in professional communication (e.g., with professors, funding agencies, laboratories) and so forth.

Archean terranes are the archives that underpin our understanding of the early Earth. Thity-five large fragments of the crust of the Archean age around the world, including the Bundelkhand craton, and although they represent only 12% of the exposed crust, they contain all of the information conserved about the first 2.5 billion years of our planet; 54% of his life so far. Understanding the geology of these areas has proven vital in unraveling Earth's early history, as well as providing vital resources that have accelerated the advancement of human civilization.
